do people lose weight on the slow carb diet?
HOW LONG SHOULD I STAY ON THE PROGRAM?
In general, our programs are based on making healthy and positive long term lifestyle changes.
However, it depends on the progress you make during the time you are on our Program(s). Did you stick to the plan or deviate and not follow it? You could achieve your goal in a few months or it could take longer if not following the plan.
A rule of thumb is to commit to the plan for 6 months, take a break from supplementation for one month, and get back on the plan.
WHEN SHOULD I BINGE?
Typically the weekends are the best time to binge and eat anything AND everything you want. Remember, 6 days on the plan and one day eating anything you want!
CAN I FAST?
WHY DO I NEED TO EAT 4 MEALS A DAY?
Eating 4 smaller meals throughout the day helps with metabolism. Having 4 set meals throughout the day will stop your desire for snacking as you prevent hunger cravings (while we have some approved snacks on our food list, it is better to not snack).
WHat IF I CAN’T DO THE EXERCISES?
Many of the exercises can be modified so that you can do them! In general, following the Program strictly (diet and supplementation schedule) without doing exercise should still help you lose weight. Although, it is best to follow the Program as best you can from all aspects to ensure best results.
CAN I DO MY OWN EXERCISES INSTEAD?
CAN I EAT FOOD NOT ON THE APPROVED LIST?
Of course! That is what your binge day is for. Cup cakes, pizza, etc. your binge day is when you can eat anything you want and any amount of these foods. During the 6 days of following the Program, you should try to solely use the foods on the approved list for your meals.
If you want to add Wheatgrass or some other item, please do so at your own discretion.
WHY ARE THE FOODS THAT ARE ON THE LIST CHOSEN AND NOT OTHER FOODS ADDED TO THE LIST?
The foods that have been chosen on our Food page have been compiled due to their excellent nutritional benefits.
There are many healthy foods out there and we have not created a comprehensive list. The paradox of choice becomes overwhelming if you are looking at a list of 300 different items to choose from.
DO I NEED TO TALK TO MY DOCTOR BEFORE BEGINNING ANY OF THESE PROGRAMS?
Whenever starting any new diet or exercise plan, it is highly advised you discuss things with your doctor or health care provider. If you have any medical condition, make sure you and your doctor are in agreement of what is appropriate for your diet, exercise, and supplements you can take.
CAN I DO THIS PLAN IF I AM PREGNANT?
If you are pregnant, you definitely need to discuss any new diet or exercise plans with your OB-GYN or health care provider.
CAN MY CHILDREN FOLLOW THIS PROGRAM?
Yes they definitely can! While children may not prefer to eat mostly vegetables and proteins, it always good to start healthy life habits young. If they have any medical conditions or you have any concerns, please ask your doctor or health care provider.
ARE THESE PROGRAMS (DIET AND EXERCISES) FDA APPROVED?
No they are not FDA approved. FDA approval is incredibly tough, but diets and exercises are not valid for approval. The FDA is focused on safe drug development and “evaluate new drugs before they can be sold”. You can read more about the FDA here.
Yes it does! If you follow the Program as laid out in your personalized schedule, you will begin to see results. If you follow the plan about 50% of the time, it will likely have a small impact in getting you in better shape. Stick to the plan and Get Lean!
HOW WILL THIS PROGRAM BE ANY DIFFERENT OR BETTER THAN OTHER PROGRAMS?
Our Programs are different because they are based on scientific research and focused on doing the least amount of work to get the most amount of gain.
Each plan is personalized per individual, so is unique to your general preferences. You can likely get a similar plan from a nutritionist, dietician, or athletic trainer, but those alternatives are very costly (although still great options if you want to get in shape).
WHEN SHOULD I START TO SEE RESULTS?
You should begin to feel a difference in your body, mood, overall, energy, etc. several days to a week into the Program. As you begin tracking measurements, some see changes within the first week!
One could step up the Program to another level with more exercise, reduced food intake, etc., but the goal of the plan is to do the least amount of work to get the most amount of gain.
Remember, as you begin to convert fat into muscle - muscle weighs more than fat - so it may seem as if you are not losing weight initially. The measurements you take and your Total Inches measurement will help to better showcase your progress.
WHAT IF I DON'T SEE RESULTS?
Are you following the plan as laid out for you? Are you tracking your measurements accordingly? If so, you should be seeing results.
