SPICES

The following is a list of the approved spices on our diet programs. There are more healthy spices to chose from than these, but these 3 have the greatest general benefits compared to many any other spices.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is high in antioxidants, higher than most spices in antioxidant level. Cinnamon also has blood sugar lowering properties and has been associated with reducing the risk of heart disease.

Garlic

Garlic

Garlic is high in Vitamin C, Vitamin B6 and magnesium. Garlic has also been shown to boost the immune system.

Turmeric

Turmeric contains a substance called curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Turmeric not only has antioxidants, which help protect the body from free radicals, but it also stimulates one’s own antioxidant defenses.
